READING WEEK!!

As part of our unit on communities, students participated in a mock town council meeting. Students were given different scenarios of a community issue that they had to vote on . Ask your child about the issue and what their role in the meeting was!!

Thank you Officer Hernandez for coming into our third grade classroom to talk about your role in our community! Students learned a lot from you and had a blast sitting in your car!!

Some of the highlights were: No homework, Pizza for lunch, sitting in on meetings, delivering notices, Morning Meeting, Lunch duties, dismissal duties, and a special movie for his class!! Great job Cameron!!

Each student created a timeline of his/her own life from birth through 2011. The timelines were so creative and very well done..Great Job!

Students are discovering the different sounds that different nails make. Ask them how the sounds are similar and how they are different!
